Eminem Recruits Hitman’s Agent 47 To End His ‘Slim Shady’ Alter Ego

Seems like Eminem‘s past has followed him all the way to the virtual world. While the celebrated rapper attempted to give his darker persona a musical retirement, it continues to catch up with him, most recently making him the target in a high-stakes game. Sick and tired of his violent alter ego, Eminem has tasked Agent 47 with eliminating Slim Shady in the latest update for Hitman: World of Assassination.

Eminem seeks Agent 47’s help in Hitman: World of Assassination

Eminem has joined forces with Hitman: World of Assassination to create a unique mission in which Agent 47 helps him take down his alter ego, Slim Shady. This collaboration draws inspiration from Eminem’s latest album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), which features a symbolic goodbye to his notorious persona, once a core part of his early career. The introduction of Agent 47 carries an air of intrigue for both the game and Eminem’s narrative.

“I’ve been trying to put Slim to rest, but he keeps coming back. So this time, I’m calling in a professional to get the job done once and for all. We’ve got some surprises in store for everyone…it’s a battle for the ages”, Eminem said in his statement.

Xbox Wire explains the stealth game’s intriguing plotline. In a thrilling mission, Agent 47 navigates a surreal, ever-changing asylum inspired by Slim Shady’s fractured psyche. The medical facility in Hokkaido is converted into Popsomp Hills Asylum, a world of blurred lines and pure chaos. Slim Shady performs erratic shows for a captive audience in his broadcasting studio, which is actually an old operating theater. Agent 47 must pass through twisted environments to track and kill Slim Shady.

The weird challenges include maneuvering through a recording studio and a “Group Training Session”. In the session, Slim Shady manipulates doctors into moving forward with his sinister scheme to harness music for destruction. The mission is free for players to enjoy and will be available from December 1 to December 31.
