In a move that’s sure to delight gamers and card enthusiasts alike, the iconic card game UNO has officially landed in the battle-royale phenomenon, Fortnite. The strategic fusion brings a fresh layer of fun and competition to the popular online game, allowing players to enjoy their favorite game in a whole new way.
UNO takes over Fortnite in new collab
In a game-changing crossover, UNO is teaming up with Fortnite, bringing its signature blend of strategy and social gameplay to the battle-royale sensation. Mattel’s Digital Studios is bringing the world’s number one card game to Fortnite, marking its first-ever UNO experience.
Imagine players dropping into the island with their squad, collecting UNO cards. The participants then battle it out with a mix of strategy and luck. It’s a game within a game, and it’s about to take the Fortnite community by storm.
Mattel is partnering with top developers to bring UNO to creator platforms. They’re teaming up with Look North World to launch UNO Royale on Fortnite, built using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). Expect classic UNO with a twist and epic friend competitions. This move is part of the entertainment giant’s push to make game night more interactive on popular digital platforms.
UNO Royale on Fortnite merges its gameplay and social interaction with Fortnite’s signature style. Players craft Loadout Cards, collect them, and build strategic Loadout Decks, unleashing gameplay and visual mayhem.
The online game spans 4 tourney arenas, where winners snatch shiny card skins. Playing with friends boosts the tourney size and reaps bigger prizes. Additionally, players can showcase their custom cards in their personal Card Dojo, a dedicated space that reflects their UNO style.
The Fortnite x UNO announcement lit up X( formerlyTwitter) with fans going wild over the ultimate crossover. “UNO in Fortnite is the collab nobody asked for but everybody needed,” wrote a fan. “Wtf!? Bout to download Fortnite just to play uno like back in the Xbox 360 days,” commented a gaming enthusiast. “Cant wait to finally play an official uno game,” echoed another.
UNO has officially dropped in Fortnite with its own Creative island, UNO Royale, on February 26, 2026.
