GTA 6 Online Release Window Rumored by Call of Duty Leaker

An online account has teased a release date for GTA 6. For those unversed, GTA, short for Grand Theft Auto VI, is an upcoming action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The studio originally planned to release it in May this year, but it was postponed to November 2026. However, according to the online account, the game might be delayed a bit longer.

Leaker suggests GTA 6 Online will arrive on this date

An online gaming account called The Ghost Of Hope has leaked the potential release date for GTA 6. This is the multiplayer version of Grand Theft Auto 6. As per the account, GTA 6 online will release a month after the main game. This possibly means a December 2026 window.

The Ghost Of Hope tweeted, “Up to you guys if you wanna believe me on this or not but hearing from someone that the current plan for GTA 6 is to launch online within a month after the release of the game.”

Unsurprisingly, the tweet garnered 2.3K likes, 204 bookmarks, 117 retweets, and 142 comments. Fans are assuming Rockstar Games will follow what they did with GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 by providing players with a multiplayer option after the launch of solo mode.

If The Ghost of Hope’s prediction comes true, then GTA 6 multiplayer version will compete against the likes of the rumored Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Fans have reacted to this tidbit online.

One fan commented, “GTA V Online was released just 2 weeks after GTA V… so this makes sense and follows suit. Gives everyone enough time to finish story mode then get into Online. Let’s be honest, Online is where the money is for Rockstar and Take-Two.”

However, a second fan wrote, “Didn’t it take like 2 weeks for online to get added into 5? This doesn’t seem crazy, especially since online is where they actually make their money.” A third fan penned, “I wouldn’t mind this. It allows people to fully enjoy the story mode for a bit and get used to the map.”

However, at the time of writing, Rockstar Games did not comment on the matter (via Dexerto).
