Game Boy Tetris Leaving 3DS eShop on Dec. 31

Nintendo's UK Twitter feed has announced that the Game Boy version of the timeless classic Tetris will be taken off the 3DS's eShop on Dec. 31. The 3DS retail game Tetris Axis (North American title) is also getting the Tetris axes. Heh.

The reason for the removal is not known, but with the timing being so close to Ubisoft's shittacular Tetris Ultimate, many are speculating that there could be some licensing issues causing the takedown.

What you can do, and what I recommend, is take the spite route and buy the classic GB Tetris while you can. And as an extra middle finger, import Puyo Puyo Tetris on your region-free Vita, PS3, or PS4. Take that!
