Tell GR: What Is Your Go-To Game?

If you're a gamer, chances are that you have that "one game" that you can rely on. Maybe it's a massively multiplayer game like World of Warcraft, a franchise like Call of Duty, or a classic title that is simple yet entertaining like Super Mario Bros.

In my case, the Counter-Strike series is my go-to. I've been playing since 2001, and at this point have accumulated more than 4,000 hours of play. There's something special about it that I've learned is irreplaceable no matter how good other FPS games are. Maybe it's the tactical focus that encourages teamwork and communication, or perhaps even the reliable Source engine. Or maybe I just really like buying guns, watching others play when I die, and hearing "dink" and "goosh" noises when I deliver a well-aimed headshot.

Whenever I find myself between game releases, or bored in the dry summer, CS:GO is always there to make sure I have something to play.

What is your go-to game? Let us know in the comments below.
