Buy, Try, or Die? [February 2013]

Before the Super Bowl takes over this Sunday, it's time to scour through February's offerings. Hopefully, your wallet has recovered in time since the holidays to accommodate the games you wish to purchase this month.

February starts with the 3DS RPG Fire Emblem: Awakening, which Daniel praised in his review for its memorable characters and deeply strategic gameplay. One day after its release comes Dead Space 3 on February 5 that has been previewed multiple times by Daniel, who is currently slugging through the necromorphs to give you all a review by release date. We all know that the Vita needs more titles, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time is here to save the day and will also arrive on February 5 through Sony's Cross-Buy program for both PS3 and Vita.

Then in the middle of the month comes a trio of assassination titles: Crysis 3, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and Assassin's Creed III: Tyranny of King Washington Pack. All three have been in production for a long while, but we're more than ready to see how they turn out. To cap the month off, Rayman Legends for for Wii U will finally release after being slightly delayed and, from what I've played, it's well worth the wait. And PS3 owners will at last receive the Skyrim DLC they've been clamoring for.
