Tell GR: What Gaming Gift Are You Hoping to Receive This Holiday?

Yesterday’s Tell GR had us naming our favorite games to play during the holidays. This time around, we’re letting you know which gaming gifts we’re most looking forward to receiving. While the holidays are more about family than video games, we’re looking forward to a healthy mix of both!

Tell us what you’re hoping to get this holidays in the comments below and we’ll feature our favorite responses in tomorrow’s Tell GR.

Jason Faulkner, senior editor: The gaming gift I am hoping for, but not very hopeful I’ll receive, is a Resident Evil 2 Remake demo. I’d love to get a chance to take a bit of the Christmas break to explore the RPD, but I have a feeling Capcom is gonna hold off at least until after New Year if they release a demo at all.

Mack Ashworth, lead editor: I’m looking forward to the gaming gift of time-necessary-to-complete-all-the-damn-games-that-came-out-this-year! I should have a couple of days where I’m doing nothing but gaming. I’m looking forward to finishing off Red Dead Redemption 2, playing more Smash Bros Ultimate, and filling my Pokedex in Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee!

Bradley Russell, news editor: I’ve gotta tell ya, I really hope I get one of those Soulja Boy consoles. Have you seen those bad boys? You can play pretty much any game you want for an extremely low price. It’s definitely not shady…

Or…, y’know, the Spyro Reginited Trilogy. There’s nothing better than watching a dragon skateboarding on Christmas Day. Trust me.

Michael Leri, features editor: Christmas already came. We got a Mortal Kombat 11 trailer. NetherRealm solved the holidays and all it needed was a thunder god getting a spear through his mouth. And if my math is right, that means Ed Boon is Santa.

Question: What’s Your Favorite Game to Play During the Holidays?

Zap Rowsdower: “I usually play some Daze Before Christmas at some point to try to get in the Christmas spirit, but really I’ll just play whatever I’m into at that time.

This year it will probably be a lot of Red Dead Online and Fortnite with friends…”
