X Rocker Veleno 2.1 eSports RGB Gaming Chair Review

X Rocker Veleno 2.1 eSports RGB Gaming Chair Review

The X Rocker Veleno 2.1 eSports RGB Gaming Chair is aimed at kids 5-years-old and up, which is about the age where video games start to become interesting. This gaming chair aims to enhance immersion with built-in audio, its own RGB lighting, and a relaxing design. On paper, especially for younger gamers, this looks like a winner. But how does it fare during real-world testing? Here is my review.

It lights up!

When you get it unboxed and set up, the RGB lighting is undoubtedly going to be the first thing you notice. It’s brighter than expected, which is no doubt going to impress younger players hoping for that cool “gamer vibe.” The RGB is vibrant and eye-catching, without being overly distracting once you’re actually sitting in the seat and trying to focus on the game instead.

Sounds good

The audio makes use of two speakers in the headrest and a sub in the backrest. This combination delivers a surprisingly loud and rich sound. It’s not going to wow keen audiophiles, but it more often than not gets the job done. Fortnite sounds great through this thing and it’s even good at delivering directional audio, so you can hear where enemies are. For example, if someone is firing to the right of the player character, users will be able to know that and act accordingly.

Not so old-school cool

To get the audio connection to work, users do have to use a 3.5 mm cable, which is a bit outdated at this point. Bluetooth would be a much better solution and solve a heck of a lot of the potential cable mess.

For the smaller gamer

Provided you’re a smaller human, this chair is comfortable. It’s clearly built with younger (and lighter) gamers in mind, so do factor that into your purchase if you’re a full-grown adult looking for a cheap, yet cheerful, gaming chair!

Final Verdict

At around $220 (£169.99), often less when discounted, the X Rocker Veleno 2.1 eSports RGB Gaming Chair is a bright, comfortable, and impressively loud option for younger gamers, provided you can overlook its dated wired audio connection and its design limitations for larger users.
