NES Classic Sold 2 Units Per Minute On eBay After Discontinuation, Average Price Of $332

It was announced yesterday that Nintendo will be ceasing production of the NES Classic Edition. This immediately affected second hand sales of the product, which have seen a rapid rise in demand over the course of the past 24 hours.

eBay sales data for yesterday showed that on average two NES Classic Edition consoles were sold every minute throughout the day. This equates to 2,880 second hand units being sold for a 24 hour period.

In contrast, the NES Classic Edition sold once every 18 seconds on eBay during launch day with an average price of $230.

At the time of the writing of this article there are 345 units listed on eBay with an average sold price of $332 during the past 24 hours. Its MSRP is $59.99.
