The Game Awards 2018: Persona 5’s Joker Is Coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate

Super Smash Bros Ultimate may be out in a few hours but Nintendo is still dropping news about the hotly anticipated fighting game. Joker from Persona 5 will be coming to the title in Challenger Pack 1. Each of the five Challenge Packs will come with a stage, character, and collection of music for $5.99. A Fighter Pass will also be on sale for $24.99 and will give access to all five packs.

Reggie Fils-Aime talked to Geoff Keighley at The Game Awards about the crossover, which he claims is the “biggest crossover in entertainment.” There are not many more details about the Persona 5 character but Fils-Aime stated that players will be able to summon a Persona in the game. Joker is just one fighter from the Fighter Pass which Reggie claims are all characters you wouldn’t expect to see in a Smash Bros game. You can see the announcement trailer below.
