Gears of War, State of Decay, Fable, and More Could Become TV Shows

With Microsoft nailing out several films in the Halo universe and announcing Xbox Entertainment Studios to create premium television experiences, the publisher is looking through its catalogue for candidates for a one-time spot and/or series on television.

Jordan Levin, Vice President of Xbox Entertainment Studios, said in a statement last week that it was looking at various self-owned franchises as those that "most immediately come to mind": Forza Motorsport (which is difficult to think as a series, maybe Cars-like?), State of Decay (oh, now you're talking), Gears of War (it certainly has the following), Fable (has all the makings of a traditional fantasy myth), and Age of Empires (lots of freedom there).

As for myself, I would love to see an animation series based around Banjo-Kazooie, if just to jump-start the franchise and in part because I think that kids even today would be enraptured in its bright, shiny, honeycomb universe.

Which Microsoft franchise do you think has the best to succeed?
