Battleborn Gets Release Date, New Trailer, and Four New Heroes

In time with Gamescom, the co-operative shooter Battleborn for new-gen consoles has received a worldwide release date of February 9, 2016 by 2K and Gearbox Software.

Not only does this come with a new trailer (posted above), but four new heroes out of the 25-character roster have also joined the fray as well and are available for play at Gamescom.

The priestess Ambra focuses on close-range damage and healing, while the assassin Mellka disorients foes with a nerve-gas pistol and bio-glaive attacks. Reyna "The Valkyrie" also has a pistol but of the laser variety, and the bird-like August Benedict Jr. is a jerk with a rocket launcher.

An open beta for Battleborn will occur before the game's release (of course) and more details for this beta will be revealed at a later time.
