EA To Host Its Own Convention During E3 Week Called EA PLAY

For more than a decade EA has had a huge presence at E3, whether it's been the company's lengthy press conferences or its massive stages on the show floor. That will change starting this year, though.

EA has announced EA PLAY 2016, a convention that will include both a press conference where announcements will be made, as well as open-floor access for attendees and media looking to get hands-on time with the company's upcoming portfolio.

It's remarkably similar to what EA does every year at E3, but this time around it'll replace its E3 presence altogether.

EA PLAY will be held in two venues: LA's Club Nokia and London's The Mermaid. However, LA's version will last three days instead of one.

The move is similar to what Bethesda did last year with great results, prompted by a significant line-up that was deserving of focused attention. EA is likely to have more than the usual to talk about.

This year's possible EA reveals include Titanfall 2, Battlefield 5, and an unnamed Star Wars game.
