World of Warcraft: Legion’s Demon Hunter Is Now Playable for Everyone on PTR [Update]

Update: For an unknown reason, the Demon Hunter isn't actually playable… yet. You are able to see the class in character creation, but can't progress into the game world. We have contacted Blizzard for a statement on this issue and will update the article as soon as we have more information.

Original Story: A major update has just hit the Public Test Realm system for World of Warcraft. The update entails the Legion pre-expansion patch that many players have been waiting for.

Included in the update is a plethora of new content and systems that provide the foundation for Legion's arrival on August 30th. Among them are the following:

  • Demon Hunter Class
  • New Abilities and Talents
  • Transmogrification Collections System
  • Revamped PvP Progression and Honor System
  • Racial Ability Changes
  • UI Changes

If you aren't currently opted in for World of Warcraft's PTR system, follow the instructions here using the drop-down menu to get started. PTR doesn't require a monthly fee to access, so even if you haven't played in a while it might be worth taking a moment out of your day to sign up.

Note that this update is the pre-expansion patch which is expected to go live in August. It is not Legion itself. However, a large portion of the upcoming expansion's additions and alterations outside of the level 101 to 110 content is included.
