Albion Online – How Losing Items Upon Death Works (Green, Yellow, Red Regions)

PvP plays a huge role in Albion Online, with some considering it the main focus of the title. But before you rush into PvP, it’s important to understand how death works.

What happens when you die depends on what type of region you are in. The various types are as follows:

  • Green – PvP is not allowed. When you die you will not drop any items.
  • Yellow – PvP is allowed. Players need to flag up before attacking others. Players can knock you down but can’t execute you. When you die you will only drop materials.
  • Red – PvP is allowed. Players need to flag up before attacking others. Players can knock you down and execute you. When you die you will drop your full inventory and equipment.
  • Black – PvP is encouraged. Players don’t need to flag up before attacking others. Players can knock you down and execute you. When you die you will drop your full inventory and equipment.

It is recommended that you stick to green zones until becoming comfortable with the game. Once you decide to enter more dangerous areas, it’s preferable if you bring friends with you.
