Elite: Dangerous Ramps Up Alien Hype with 2.4 Trailer

After more than 18 months of patches, the end of Elite: Dangerous season two is almost here. The final update, numbered 2.4, is coming soon to PC and console. In anticipation of the release, Frontier Developments has debuted a teaser trailer.

In the trailer Frontier Developments once again confirms the patch’s focus on the Thargoids, an alien species that has made brief appearances since the launch of Elite: Dangerous. Very little is known about them, including whether or not they are hostile, but we’re about to find out much more.

This will be the first major update that has a simultaneous multiplatform release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The PS4 version debuted just a few weeks ago to positive buzz.
