Remedy Talks Next-Gen, “It’s A Quantum Leap”

Remedy Entertainment, the guys behind Alan Wake, definitely know how to make a pretty game, so believe their head of franchise development when he says that the next generation of gaming hardware provides a significant upgrade.

With video games continuing to get increasingly more realistic, we're bound to reach a plateau, but according to Remedy's Oskari Hakkinen, we haven't reached it yet. In an interview with the German edition of GamesIndustry, Hakkinen said that the (still unannounced) next-generation gaming hardware will provide a major jump for gamers.

"Currently we are working – like always – with a relatively small team on a next-gen project," Hakkinen explained. "One question you always ask yourself in this phase is: can the upcoming consoles really be so much better compared to the current gen? I can rest assure you, they are! It’s a quantum leap.”

And there you have it. Start getting excited, because the next Xbox and PlayStation can't be too far off.
