It's Christmas Eve, and Rockstar Games has released five new screenshots of Grand Theft Auto V to make the wait for its release even more painful. Thanks Rockstar! Above all else, the images show some great visual quality that greatly surpasses the game's predecessors, so we know we're in for an epic presentation. But the images aren't just to show the game's eye-popping virtual world, they also share some new details about the game. Let's dive into each one together, shall we?
That's one nicely detailed shark. Now, why would Rockstar populate the water with realistic sea life if we aren't going to spend time in it? Sure, maybe we'll rarely utilize it for anything useful like in Grand Theft Auto III: San Andreas, or maybe it can be our backdoor entry to a mafia's seaside headquarters.

It looks like this man and his dog—not dawg—aren't enthused to be in the car together. Wait, why is there a dog in the passenger seat? I'd be willing to bet that this viscious female Rottweiler is going to help you take down some nasty criminals. That'd be a cool little addition for the series and would surely give it some attention from PETA.

Okay, that's a mini submarine in case you didn't notice. This just about confirms that we'll be spending some time in the water, but why? Is there a drug lab hidden beneath Los Santos?

Jets and blimps, the hallmarks of a true AAA title. I'm not an aerospace expert but that looks like an F-22 Raptor in the middle of the screenshot. Those bad boys cost $420 million dollars. I don't think taxpayers are going to be happy if we steal one just to crash it into a rival gang's territory. That wouldn't be very nice now would it?

These are the three guys you'll be able to play as. Of course the sharp-looking mafia fellow is talking on a cell phone.
