Double Fine Reportedly Looking Into Purchasing THQ Assets

It looks like the guys over at Double Fine may be interested in bidding on a few of THQ's properties when the publisher is picked clean at an auction later this month.

According to a Twitter post by Distressed Debt Investing, both Warner Bros. and Double Fine Productions  have expressed an interest in the THQ case.

At this point, we already know that both Electronic Arts and Warner will be there to get in on the action, but news of Double Fine's interest comes as a bit of a surprise. Then again, any studio with some extra cash to spend and a decent amount of common sense would probably be eyeing some of THQ's properties.

So, which THQ franchise do you think would be best suited over at Double Fine? Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and don't forget to check back here at GameRevolution on the 22nd to find out where THQ's assets will end up.
