Another Thursday means another batch of Fortnite weekly challenges. As per usual, we’re here to take you through all you need to know in order to complete the Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 challenges. This here Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 challenges cheat sheet will surely help you to complete each and every challenge this week. Whether you’re looking to Search chests at Polar Peak or Lonely Lodge, Deal damage to opponents below, or Dance between three ice sculptures, we’re here to help every step of the way. Be the envy of your friends and step up to the tasks lying in your wake, brave Fortnite warrior.
Complete four of them to bag yourself 9,000 XP. Completing all seven challenges will award you with the Discovery #9 Loading Screen, which you can see above. Remember, though, that you must complete a match before anything counts towards challenge completion progress. This means that you have to either win or be eliminated, no quitting for you.

Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Stage 1 of 5: Land at Loot Lake

The first of the three free Season 8 Week 9 challenges is a simple one. There are five stages to it, but you will have no trouble at all in completing them all and earning yourself a cool five Battle Stars in the process. The five stages are as follows:
- Stage 1: Land at Loot Lake
- Stage 2: Land at Lucky Landing
- Stage 3: Land at Salty Springs
- Stage 4: Land at Lonely Lodge
- Stage 5: Land at Haunted Hills
Of course, it will take five matches to complete this challenge. Our advice? Land at the named places in order as asked by the game and take on other week 9 challenges at the same time. Kill two birds with one stone.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Search chests at Polar Peak or Lonely Lodge

The second of the three free Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 challenges has you find and open seven treasure chests at either Polar Peak or Lonely Lodge. Our advice would be to pair this challenge with the one above (or at least its fourth stage). Land at Lonely Lodge and get to searching for chests.
Alternatively, head inside of Polar Peak’s castle, where there should be plenty of treasure chests waiting for you. Remember to look inside buildings, search high and low, and just about everywhere in any given named area for chests. There should always be plenty to find and open. Look out for other players though! Finding and opening seven chests in either Polar Peak or Lonely Lodge will bag you five Battle Stars.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Ride 3 different Volcano Vents without landing

The final free Season 8 Week 9 challenge could prove a little tricky to complete. It tasks you with riding three Volcano Vents in a row without landing. There are areas where this will be easy enough to complete, however.
You should find plenty of Volcano Vents dotted around the Volcano, for example. Another good area where the Vents are plentiful is in the Hotsprings to the northwest of the Volcano. Keep trying and you’re bound to complete this challenge quickly and earn a cool 10 Battle Stars in the process.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Stage 1 of 3: Dance between three ice sculptures

The first of the Battle Pass challenges this week is a three-parter. You will need to dance in three exact locations in order to complete this challenge and earn five Battle Stars. The three stages are as follows:
- Stage 1: Dance between three ice sculptures
- Stage 2: Dance between three dinosaurs
- Stage 3: Dance between four hot springs
You don’t need to know the locations of any ice sculptures, dinosaurs, or hot springs to complete this challenge. Instead, check out our map above, which highlights the areas you’ll need to head to (in order) and dance. Simply drop to the areas highlighted above and use any emote to complete the challenge. You can use a dance emote to make it truly authentic, too.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Deal damage to opponents from below

The second Battle Pass challenge this week is another straightforward one to understand. All you need to do is deal 500 damage to opponents from below throughout the week. That’s it.
Find yourself a nice little ditch and wait for another player to get near. Better yet, just play the game as normal. If you hit an opponent while you are underneath them (it doesn’t matter if they are jumping or not), then that damage dealt will count towards your total. People are always jumping and elevating themselves upwards via building, so this challenge shouldn’t prove too difficult to complete. Doing so will award you with five Battle Stars. Grab your favorite weapon and get out there.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Revive a teammate at a Reboot Van

Completing this Battle Pass challenge will require the use of a relatively new Fortnite feature: The Reboot Van. You only have to revive one teammate at any Reboot Van in order to complete the challenge and earn 10 Battle Stars. You won’t be able to do this in Solos.
Our advice? Head in with a teammate you know and wait for them to get killed. Once they are down, collect their Reboot Card. Head to any of the named locations on the map and you should find a Reboot Van waiting to be used. Check out our Reboot Van locations guide to find them all.
Remember, though, that reviving an ally via a Reboot Van does take some time, so make sure the coast is clear before beginning the process.
Fortnite Season 8 Week 9 Challenges | Eliminate an opponent in different matches

The final Season 8 Week 9 Battle Pass challenge is another straightforward one. All you need to do is eliminate an opponent in five different matches. That’s all there is to it. Team Rumble might well be your best friend here. Everyone is far more relaxed in this mode, so it should be easier to eliminate an opponent or two. You’ll get 10 Battle Stars for your trouble, too.

10 of Fortnite's Rarest Skins
Whether you're dropping into Fatal Fields or Greasy Grove, you want to look your best. Fortnite has countless skins, but there are those select few that prove that you put the work in. Whether you were just an early adopter or racked up the kills, here are a look at some of the rarest Fortnite skins around. -
Dire
Howl at the moon as Dire, the Werewolf Ninja Hero popping straight out of Save the World. It was the Tier 100 reward of the Season 6 battle pass, but that only got you his human form. To get him all wolfed out, you needed to complete a set of six challenges during the season. -
Galaxy
Would you purchase a cell phone just to get your hands on a Fortnite skin? Some people just may have done that to get Galaxy, the skin only available to owners of Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets during the Android beta period. He's shiny, but not that shiny. -
Giddy Up
Show your love for Fortnite's loot llamas by riding an inflatable one into battle. This jokey costume was available at Tier 23 of the Season 6 Battle Pass and comes with a custom emote. The female version of this skin, Yee-Haw!, is purchasable at the item store. -
Merry Marauder
Merry Marauder is an angry looking gingerbread man who released onto the item shop in December of 2017. He's a holiday-oriented fellow, so he only pops up when Santa is done checking his list twice. Purchasing him will also net you the Mini Marauder back bling, although that doesn't seem to make this ginger man any happier. -
Nightshade
Once you reached Tier 86 of the Season 6 Battle Pass, you received Nightshade. A female version of Tomatohead, she and her Night Cloak back bling are all part of the Pizza Pit theme; the perfect complement when you're fighting against the Burger menace. -
Recon Expert
Decidedly less flashy than other skins on this list, Recon Expect is rare solely due to its release window. It was one of the first skins to hit the shop, before the influx of players that made Fortnite the phenomenon that it is today. While it may rotate back onto the store someday, it's a rare find. -
Renegade Raider
Similar to Recon Expert, Renegade Rider only showed up very early in Fortnite's lifespan. Unlike Recon Expert, that apocalyptic melee weapon makes her fit in a bit more with the skull soldiers and vampires we're all used to seeing. Keep a lookout to see if this Raider will ever climb out of the bunker again. -
Royale Bomber
The Royale Bomber is a PlayStation exclusive, but that's not all. You only got this sunglass toting agent if you purchased specific PlayStation hardware. A controller in the U.S. and a console bundle in the European region. It's quite a hassle to look this good. -
The Reaper
Baba Yaga. The Boogeyman. The Reaper. All of these names apply to John Wick and also this somehow completely unrelated skin in Fortnite Awarded at the end of the Season 3 Battle Pass. Just don't tell anyone in Hollywood, I don't think they've noticed yet. -
Trog
Trog is love. Trog is life. Trog is the reward for Tier 71 of the Season 7 Battle Pass. We may never know where Trog is looking thanks to his famous cross-eyes, but we know that he loves all his children equally and also he is going to shoot some fools with a shotgun. Trog.
