Xbox 360 Can Be Plugged Into Xbox One

According to Xbox Live director of programming Larry Hryb, gamers will be able to plug their Xbox 360 into the back of their Xbox One via the console's HDMI-in.

Speaking to Reddit Games at E3, Hryb explained, "Absolutely; you can certainly plug an Xbox 360 in the back – that was one of my first questions when I heard about the [HDMI-in] feature."

Why someone would want to do that still remains a mystery, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the convenience that comes with having all of your gaming content go through the same input. Perhaps being able to have the Xbox One UI for all of your game experiences is another incentive to do so.

Do you like the idea of being able to plug your Xbox 360 into the Xbox One? Can you come up with some crazy reason as to why someone would want to do this? Let us know in the comments below.

I wonder what might happen if you tried to plug in a PlayStation 3 or Wii U…
