Death Stranding Stop Baby Crying | How to lower BB stress level

You’ve picked up Death Stranding and now you’re suddenly looking after a child. It’s not what you were expecting from the new Hideo Kojima game, but it’s a mess that you’re now in and that you need to get out of. If you’re wondering how to stop the baby crying in Death Stranding, then you’ve come to the right place! Here’s how to lower BB stress level.

How do I stop BB crying in Death Stranding?

Death Stranding Stop Baby Crying

If you take a sudden tumble or swim for too long, you will start to notice that the baby that is strapped to Sam’s chest begins to cry. That little BB is not happy and you’ll want to do something about it. This isn’t just about stopping the horrible noise, as if you make the BB cry too often, it will stop working and prevent you from seeing the terrifying BTs. So look after your BB, and it’ll look after you! Note: If the stress level hits zero and the BB shuts off, or you just want to quickly get it back up to max, you can head back to a safe house room where it will reach 100% again.

To stop the baby crying in Death Stranding, you’ll need to soothe it. You can do this by holding L1 and then hitting “Down” on the D-pad. Then hit “Square” and rock the BB using the motion controls on your controller. Simply lift the controller up and then down in a gentle moment. You can shake the baby, but it’s not recommended.

If you find it easier to just press the R2 button instead of using motion controls, you can change that option in the menu by going to System > Options > Control Settings > Controls for Soothing BB. You can also make the BB audio come out of your TV instead of the controller by going to Audio Settings and tweaking “BB Voice Output” to “TV.”
