How to destroy the turret in Mafia: Definitive Edition

Mafia Definitive Edition how to destroy the turret in A Trip to the Country

Mafia: Definitive Edition doesn’t provide much time to complete the “destroy turret” objective in A Trip to the Country. Not only is the window of opportunity short, but you’re also shooting from the back of a moving truck — needless to say, the situation doesn’t lend itself to the kind of precision shooting that’s required.

Thankfully, however, there’s an easy way to destroy the turret. Success is almost guaranteed when you switch the game’s aim assist settings. By toggling aim assistance to the maximum, your Tommy gun will automatically track the target, allowing you to break the vehicle turret in time.

This is the easy way to destroy the Mafia: Definitive Edition turret:

  1. Pause the game and select the “Options” menu.
  2. Select “Controls” and locate the “Aim Assist” option.
  3. Toggle the setting to the “High” configuration.
  4. Resume the game and aim at the armored vehicle turret.
  5. Hold down the trigger and, due to the generous aim assist, your shots will remain on target.

Once you get past the turret, you can switch right back to your preferred aim assist setting. Using this trick won’t negate the Achievement or Trophy for finishing the game on Classic difficulty.
