Activision On GTA V’s Success: “We Look Forward To Getting The Record Back”

Activision is a company that is used to being on top, so it should come as no surprise to you that the recent success of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto V has fired up the publisher's competitive spirit.

UK senior brand manager Kevin Flynn assured MCV that the Call of Duty franchise is still very much a powerhouse, and one that will dethrone GTA V from its lofty perch. "Congratulations to the team at Rockstar for their success. We look forward to getting the record back before the next GTA title," Flynn told the outlet.

"We know that our unaided awareness for Ghosts is leading the way against other unreleased triple-A titles. Our digital content has proven extremely popular and Black Ops II has sold more than 3m units in the UK."

The gauntlet has been thrown. Will Call of Duty: Ghosts outpace GTA V when it launches this November? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
