EA Not Bringing Titanfall to South Africa Due to Poor Internet

Electronic Arts has confirmed that Titanfall will not be launching in South Africa due to the region's less-than-stellar internet.

"After conducting recent online tests for Titanfall, we found that the performance rates in South Africa were not as high as we need to guarantee a great experience, so we have decided not to release Titanfall in South Africa at this time," EA's South African division explained on Facebook.

"We understand this is a disappointment for local fans and will keep fans posted on any future plans regarding the release of Titanfall in South Africa."

As me move toward a more internet-heavy and digitally-focused future, there are bound to be rough patches along the way, with large portions of the populace falling victim to the varying degrees of technology around the globe. I guess there's still a case to be made for offline games.
