Gone Home Confirmed for Consoles, No Sequel Planned

Steve Gaynor, the co-founder of The Fullbright Company, has confirmed that his 2013 PC hit Gone Home will be coming to consoles.

"We designed Gone Home from the beginning to be a couch experience," he explained to IGN, adding, "There are Trophies and there [are] Achievements, but there’s also new features with the new consoles. The PS4 is all about sharing, for instance."

Unfortunately, Gaynor hasn't yet specified exactly which consoles will be receiving the game, but it's clear he's interested in Xbox One and PlayStation 4. "It’s less about what we can add, what we can change. It’s, 'How can we make it the best version you could possibly play on the hardware you’ve got on your living room?'"

In addition, Gaynor confirmed that the studio is not working on a sequel. "We’re currently doing very early days on what our next game is. I can say it won’t be Gone Home 2, but I can also say it’ll be us continuing to explore the kind of interactive experiences we started with Gone Home. And then seeing what our next step is, so we don’t repeat ourselves."

Will you pick up Gone Home when it comes to a console near you? We were quite impressed by the PC version.
