The Sims 4 Trailer Highlights Polished Build Mode

After being teased in a prior trailer highlighting The Sims 4's character creation mode, a new trailer for the game narrated by developer John Berges features the polished design of Build Mode. Fans of The Sims can spend days crafting multi-storied homes, so the swiftness of the editing mode will be a godsend for them.

A deeper look into the trailer, using Bella and Mortimer Goth from the prior trailer, reveals multiple enhancements for Build Mode. On an open, flat plot of land (hopefully, there will be much larger plots than the one shown in the trailer), players can place blueprint rooms or preset fully furnished rooms of a specific style; in this case, the Queen Anne style for the Goth's posh and refined titles.

Snapping together rooms and floors for a multi-story house looks easy and user-friendly. Expanding rooms will automatically move objects within the room to fit. Walls, windows, and foundations can be set at varying heights at any time. The degree of a curved roof can be adjusted as well by moving a pivot point.
