“Get Over Here” and Check Out Mortal Kombat X’s Official Box Art

Mortal Kombat developer NetherRealm Studios has announced that its next entry in the popular fighting series is now available for pre-order. In addition, the studio pulled back the veil on the title's awesome cover art, which has been embedded below for your viewing pleasure.

Oftentimes simple is better, and I believe Mortal Kombat X's cover art is a perfect example. In this instance, the studio took one of the most beloved characters from the series, that being Scorpion of course—he should be everyone's favorite fighter as far as I'm concerned—and featured him prominently on box, keeping the clutter and flashy frills to a minimum.

But that's just my opinion. What do you think of the box art? (Un)fortunately we'll have plenty of time to argue about it, as the game doesn't launch until sometime in 2015.
