Mortal Kombat 12 Confirmed in Development in Warner Bros. Financial Call

Warner Bros. Discovery has confirmed the release of Mortal Kombat 12 in their latest financial call. This announcement came as a surprise, with no fanfare or trailers accompanying it. No further details were released, and even the title is tentative until we hear more. Also, there has been no official word about the game from NetherRealm or Warner Bros. Games.

We know nothing about Mortal Kombat 12 except the title (maybe)

Fans have been anticipating a Mortal Kombat 12 announcement for a while now, given the success of Mortal Kombat 10 and 11 and the hints dropped by NetherRealm chief Ed Boon. The news also confirms previous leaks and rumors that claimed Injustice 3 is not the studio’s next project.

The release of Mortal Kombat 12 is set to make 2023 a big year for fighting games, with Street Fighter 6 and potentially Tekken 8 also coming out in the same window.

While there is still much to learn about the game (as in pretty much everything), fans can expect the return of iconic characters and even more thrilling gameplay mechanics. As always, we’ll update you with the latest information as it becomes available. So get ready to step into the arena to rip out spines and break bones again soon!
