OpenAI, best known for launching the AI chatbot ChatGPT, has released the social media application Sora 2. Since then, curiosity has been building online about how to get a special invite code. The application, despite being designed for social media usage, is filled to the brim with AI-generated videos. Users enter prompts in the text box to either generate different kinds of videos or artificially extend existing footage.
Sora 2 AI app users can get the special invite code this way
Getting into the Sora 2 app requires an invite code. To get the code, simply follow the steps outlined below:
- Download the Sora App from the App Store. It has a blue and white gradient cloud logo.
- Log in using credentials from your ChatGPT account. Alternatively, you can click on “Use different account.”
- Click on “Notify me when access opens.”
- You will get a pop-up window asking you to allow Sora to send you push notifications. Allow this option.
- Continue the application setup after getting the invite code. You will now be able to open the app. Upon entry, you will get four new invite codes you can share with friends.
Initial rollout for Sora began in the United States and Canada on September 30, 2025, according to OpenAI on X (formerly Twitter). The company has said that it will “quickly expand” the app’s availability in other countries. Moreover, they have shared that they are prioritizing ChatGPT Pro users for the app’s access. While they haven’t shared an exact timeline for this, they have stressed that they are trying to move as “quickly” as they can do “safely.”
As mentioned on its official website, Sora has the following features:
- Writing prompts or uploading images to create videos in multiple realism styles: Cinematic, animated, photorealistic, and surreal
- Through the “Cameos” feature, users can make different kinds of videos of themselves and their friends. Moreover, users have control over how or when their Cameo is used.
- Users can source other people’s videos and modify them for creative purposes. They can change characters, scenes, video length, and more.
- Videos include music, sound effects, and dialogue.
Upon receiving the invite and getting access to Sora 2, ChatGPT Pro users can use the Sora 2 Pro model, which produces higher-quality results from prompts.
