Here’s What to Expect from Apple’s Launch Event on March 4

Tech enthusiasts are eyeing March 4 after Apple confirmed plans for a new product showcase. The company is preparing an invitation-only media experience that could introduce several hardware updates across its lineup.

Early reports suggest the event may spotlight both budget-friendly devices and performance upgrades aimed at keeping Apple’s ecosystem competitive.

Apple announces launch event in March

Apple Inc. is gearing up for a launch event on March 4, with in-person events lined up in New York City, London, and Shanghai. Instead of its usual Apple Park spotlight in Cupertino, the tech giant is switching things up with this multi-city rollout.

Per reporting from Bloomberg, the big reveal may be the rumored iPhone 17e, which is expected to carry a starting price of $599. The handset is tipped to pack Apple’s upcoming A19 chip, MagSafe support, and the now-familiar Dynamic Island display. If the leaks are true, the phone could serve as a more budget-friendly doorway into the iPhone family.

Apple Inc. may also have a surprise play in the laptop game. Reports say the company is prepping what could be its most affordable MacBook yet, with chatter pointing to a roughly $699 starting price. Instead of the usual Mac silicon, the machine is rumored to run on the A18 Pro chip, the same powerhouse expected in the iPhone 16 lineup. The laptop is also tipped to drop in a lineup of bright, eye-catching colors. This is clearly aimed at younger users and budget shoppers.

On the high-end front, Apple isn’t slowing down as well. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to get internal muscle with the upcoming M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, upgrades that should boost both performance and battery efficiency. Meanwhile, the MacBook Air is rumored to quietly switch to the M5 processor.

Tablet news could help complete the lineup. Rumors suggest the entry-level iPad (12th gen) may pack either an A18 or A19 chip paired with 8GB of RAM. Meanwhile, the iPad Air family is expected to level up with a jump to the more powerful M4 chip.
