Internet Vows To ‘Protect’ KitKat as It Hires Security Post-Heist

A chocolate crisis has unexpectedly ended up turning into a viral moment, and it seems like the internet has a lot to say about this. This happened right after reports of a massive heistinvolving nearly 12 tons of KitKat bars being stolen, made the headlines. However, it didn’t just stop there. This incident has now even made its way over to social media, leaving fans impressed and obsessed.

Internet users react to KitKat security hiring notice after heist

On March 26, unidentified thieves stole 12 tons of KitKat’s F1 bars enroute Poland, with the news blowing up in no time. Consequently, KitKat Canada decided to respond in a way that only a brand with a sense of humor possibly could. This was by ‘hiring’ security guards through a post on social media.

The brand literally made their way over to Instagram and posted a static hiring notice which read, “We’re seeking professional security guards with big break energy to join our team!”

But that’s not all, they also added some very strict requirements for these professionals. These actually read, “Candidates must have extensive experience guarding high-value, high-profile assets. Must have a passion for taking breaks and preventing break-ins. Precious cargo needs protection. Inquire within.”

The caption accompanying the post stated, “We’re not taking any more chances. #HaveaBreak.” As expected, Instagram users wasted no time jumping in. The comment section quickly filled up with people volunteering to guard the “precious” chocolate with everything that they have got.

“I have a secret nook that no one has access to. The product can be stored there,” wrote one user, with another adding, “You can pay me in Kitkats!!!” Moreover, a third user hilariously commented, “What if I start eating the Kit Kat.”

Furthermore, some even declared that they were ready to “protect KitKat at all costs,” while others joked about forming a full-blown security squad. Frankly, if these comments were anything to go by, people are more than ready to step up. For KitKat, this might be the sweetest and most delicious part of all.

Meanwhile, the viral news about the heist continues to gain traction across platforms, with users sharing memes, tagging friends, and turning this into one of the internet’s most entertaining brand stories.
