Status Pro X Moonbeam review

Status Pro X Moonbeam Colorway Review

The Status Pro X wireless earbuds left me impressed when I first tested them in 2025 and now they are back in a brand new color. The Moonbeam colorway gives Status Audio’s flagship earbuds a noticeably different character, even if the hardware underneath hasn’t changed. What surprised me was how much this new finish shifts the overall feel of the product. Moonbeam’s silky white look comes across as cleaner, lighter, and more style-conscious, making the Pro X feel less like another piece of tech and more like an accessory that fits naturally with the muted, earthy tones a lot of people are wearing right now. Here is my review.

A smarter-looking Pro X

Status Pro X Moonbeam review

There’s no shortage of black earbuds on the market, which is exactly why Moonbeam works so well. It immediately separates itself from the usual crowd without looking loud or gimmicky. Status has gone for something softer and more refined, and the result is a finish that looks modern while still feeling understated. For anyone who wants earbuds that don’t disappear into the same sea of dark plastics and metals, this is a very appealing alternative.

Familiar strengths

Status Pro X Moonbeam review

Since this is the same Pro X beneath a new exterior, my overall opinion of the product remains very positive. The triple-driver arrangement still does the heavy lifting, and it continues to deliver a presentation that feels lively, detailed, and well balanced. Low-end response has satisfying impact, but it doesn’t smother everything else, leaving vocals and finer instruments with plenty of room to come through.

Outside of sound, the rest of the package still holds up well. Noise canceling is highly effective, ambient listening is useful when needed, and the call experience remains one of the standout features. The earbuds are also easy to wear for long sessions once you’ve settled on the right fit, which goes a long way in everyday use.

More than a simple recolor

Status Pro X Moonbeam review

What I appreciate about Moonbeam is that it doesn’t feel like an afterthought. It gives the Pro X a different identity. Black Alloy had a more traditional high-tech edge, whereas Moonbeam feels more current and more versatile from a style standpoint. I can see this version being the one many buyers choose purely because it feels easier to pair with what they already wear.

Final Verdict

At $299, the Status Pro X Moonbeam builds on everything that already made the Pro X easy to like, while introducing a finish with a different vibe. The audio performance, noise canceling, and call quality were already convincing, but the Moonbeam colorway adds a more distinctive visual appeal. For buyers who want premium earbuds that sound excellent and look a little less ordinary, this version makes a strong case for itself.
