The MIXX Audio Analog+ is for those who want to combine two classic listening styles, both vinyl and CDs, in a handsome unit that looks the part without breaking the bank. If you’re still fighting the battle against the streaming revolution, determined to hold onto physical media and the satisfaction that comes with it, this product may well be for you. Here is my review.
Big physical media combination
Obviously, the headline feature of the Analog+ is the CD player situated in the centre of the turntable. When you see it, the design choice seems like a no-brainer, but it’s taken MIXX to fully invest in the idea and I think it’s paid off from both aesthetic and functional perspectives.
When it comes to vinyl playback, you’re looking at a fully automatic turntable with support for 33 and 45 RPM records of either 7” or 12”. The arm has automatic functions and boasts an Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge.

As for the CD player, controls include Play, Pause, Stop, Skip Track, and Repeat. There’s also a time display.
The included remote comes in handy for controlling most functions without needing to interact with the Analog+ itself.
Get connected
Getting connected is simple enough, with wired support via RCA or a wireless connection via Bluetooth. The output audio sounds good, though super-critical listeners may desire something with a little more oomph across the frequencies.
I’d say that the Analog+ provides a “safe listening experience.” In my usage, vinyl playback was definitely strongest, with CD playback having noticeable, but not overly offensive, drop-off in quality.
The track skipping issue

My main nitpick with the Analog+ is the inaccuracy of the vinyl track skipping. While I get that it’s going to be much more difficult when it compares to digital playback, I was hoping for something a bit more consistent.
With that said, I understand that part of the magic of vinyl listening to playing an entire album from start to finish without skipping, for that true appreciation, so I imagine this won’t be an issue for many.

Final Verdict
At $329, the MIXX Analog+ is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy vinyl and CDs in one stylish, easy-to-use package. It has a few limitations, but the overall experience is enjoyable, convenient, and well-suited to casual physical media fans. For those wanting an accessible way to keep their collection spinning, it does the job nicely.
