5 Things From The Last Jedi We Want to See in Star Wars Battlefront 2

The second Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer dropped and gave us a much better look at the upcoming film than the first. Each new Star Wars brings new vehicles, weapons, locations, and people to the mix and we’re pumped to see what comes out of this one. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will precede the movie by a month, and we’ve already got confirmation of quite a bit of stuff making it into the game from The Last Jedi. However, there are a few things from Episode VIII we’re dying see in EA DICE’s upcoming FPS.

Here are five things from Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi we hope make it into Star Wars Battlefront 2.

All Terrain MegaCaliber Six (AT-M6)

AT-M6 The Last Jedi

The AT-AT from The Empire Strikes Back is a fan-favorite vehicle, and The Last Jedi is upping the ante with a successor to the four-legged walker. The All Terrain MegaCaliber Six is even more massive than the Galactic Empire’s main heavy walker unit and brings a lot more potential for devastation to the battleground.

It was pretty terrifying to see AT-ATs lumbering towards you while playing on Hoth in Star Wars Battlefront. The AT-M6 is enough to make you break ranks and run though. The large cannon the walker gets its name from is sure to be frighteningly powerful, and it would be a ton of fun both to drive it and try and take it down.

Mega-class Star Destroyer

Mega-class Star Destroyer

The Mega-class Star Destroyer is ridiculous. It would take three Executor-class Star Dreadnoughts (a.k.a. the Super Star Destroyer) lined up end-to-end to equal the width of this gigantic vessel. We don’t have a lot of details on the sole Mega-class other than it’s Supreme Leader Snoke’s flagship and it’s named the Supremacy.

The Supremacy would make an impressive setting for a space combat map. Imagine zooming around a ship so large it makes a Super Star Destroyer look like a Rebel Blockade Runner.

Luke Skywalker’s Jedi Temple

Jedi Temple The Last Jedi

We know that at some time after Return of the Jedi Luke attempted to form a New Jedi Order. While The Last Jedi takes place decades after that, it looks like we’ll be revisiting the destruction of the temple by Kylo Ren at some point in the film.

Star Wars: Battlefront II featured a map set on the prequel trilogy’s Jedi Temple, and it would be awesome to get a chance to visit another in this game. Perhaps we could get both in there so we could play through the parallels between Anakin Skywalker and Kylo Ren’s downfall instead of just watching them on screen.

Laser Axes

Executioner Stormtrooper The Last Jedi

The laser ax is the primary weapon of the First Order Judicial Stormtrooper a.k.a. The Execution Trooper. Besides having a cool sounding title, the stormtrooper executioners deal out justice within the ranks of the First Order. If any soldier is found guilty of treason, their last sight is the flash of the laser ax.

I don’t feel like there needs to be any real justification for wanting to see laser axes in the game. Just the fact they exist and are awesome is enough. However, it would be cool to have the stormtrooper executioner take the role of an elite unit on one of The Last Jedi maps.

Nien Nunb

Nien Nuub The Last Jedi

Nien Nuub doesn’t get enough credit. He was a crucial player in the destruction of the second Death Star and survived the dangerous assault on Starkiller Base. Nuub is an excellent wildcard character too. You can stick him in an Endor map, a The Force Awakens map, or a The Last Jedi map. Actually, if you want to, you can have him on any level because he’s an OG and was an accomplished warrior in the Rebel Alliance (and later The Resistance) since just after the Battle of Yavin.

I’d love to see some of the secondary characters get more representation this time around. Let Han stay home for a few rounds and get Lando and Nuub in to pilot the Falcon.
