Hades II Technical Test is open for registration

PC Gamers Can Sign Up Now for Hades II’s Closed Technical Test

PC users can participate in Hades II’s closed Technical Test ahead of the game’s early access release. Supergiant Games will only select a small group to participate, but fans who sign up can try the game before anyone else.

Hades II Technical Test is open for registration

Supergiant Games explained the Hades II Technical Test in a recent Steam blog post. Volunteers will only have access to a small portion of the game’s early-access content. Testers will get to experience the first main area, comparable to the Tartarus section of the first game. All they need to do is play the game and report any crashes or other technical issues. The game will explain how to report these problems once the Test begins.

Playtesters can choose to clear the area multiple times, though the game will suggest stopping after enough repeat playthroughs. The developers also caution that save files from the Technical Test won’t carry over to Hades II’s early access release. Supergiant explained that this is due to technical changes between the different builds.

Fans can sign up by visiting Hades II’s Steam page and clicking the “Request Access” button. To qualify, they will need a Windows PC with at least a 2.4 GHz Dual-Core processor, 4GB of RAM, and 2GB VRAM that supports DirectX 12 or better. Accepted applicants will receive an email from Steam containing instructions on downloading the test build. The initial test group will start small and grow over time, though it’s unlikely to include every qualified applicant.

Supergiant is unsure how long the Technical Test will run but expects it to be “longer than a week, shorter than a month.” The studio also couldn’t say when Hades II will be released in early access, as that will depend on the Test’s results.
