Astro Bot Surprised Us With These Deep Cut Obscure Cameos

Astro Bot is full of nostalgic callbacks to Sony classics, the most prominent of which are the cameo bots. The game is chock full of these little guys, and we were shocked at how far Team Asobi cast its net to create them.

If you’re a Sony fan, you’ll no doubt recognize more of the cameos in Astro Bot. However, when you discover one, it has a tongue-in-cheek in-game name. For example, Jill Valentine is called “Alpha Female,” referencing her being on STARS Alpha Team in the original Resident Evil. Strangely, there’s no way to check a bot’s real name and game of origin in Astro Bot, so you may have a hard time identifying some of the more obscure ones.
