All Tune-Up Items:

On the “press start” screen press and hold Down, Right, L, R, and B.

You’ll hear a sound confirming that you did it right.

Go-Kart Code:

Follow the directions below and you’ll be able to use Go-Karts on any of the

tracks you’ve unlocked so far. You can actually play through the entire game

using Go-Karts! Hold the L and R buttons. Then, push right on the D-pad and

B simultaneously. You will hear a chime if you entered the code correctly. Go

to the main menu, and you will see that you have unlocked the Extra 1 mode.

Secrets to Success:

– Driving the most powerful car is not always the best option for certain tracks.

For example, on most tracks, a car such as the Toyota Vitz will get soundly

beaten by a fully upgraded Honda S2000. However, on city courses and other turn-heavy

areas, it’s best to choose cars with good handling and acceleration. Having

too high a top speed can make your car difficult to control on courses that

require precise turns.

– In championship mode, finish first as often as you can. If you finish second

or third, give the track another shot–you will reap much better rewards for

taking the gold!

– When challenging a friend in vs. mode, choose your car wisely. The player

who enters into vs. mode first gets to choose the track. You won’t want to drive

a Honda NSX on a winding dirt track!

Get Formula Cars (Extra 2):

At the very first screen which comes up in the game (where it says push start)

hold down the L and R buttons and while holding them both down hit right on

the control pad and the B button at the same time. A chime will sound if you

do this corectly. Now press start and at the main menu choose extra 2. Now you

can race with formula cars.

Extra Mode 1:

Go to the screen with “Start” and a picture of the car. Hold R + L, then press

Right + B until a chime is heard. Alternately, select championship mode and win

the beginner, middle, and high speed classes. An “Extra 1” option will now be

unlocked at the main menu. Select it to race in mini-cars.

Extra Mode 2:

Go to the screen with “Start” and a picture of the car. Hold R + L, then press

Left + B until a chime is heard. Alternately, select championship mode and win

all four classes. You must finish in first place in all races. This will unlock

the Formula 1 car and the “Extra 2” option at the main menu.

View Credits:

Go to the screen with “Start” and a picture of the car. Hold R + L, then press

Up + B to view the ending credits.
