How to Make A Bandage in Mini DayZ

With all the zombies scrambling around to try and eat you in DayZ, you’re going to get scraped up, cut, and bruised. You’re going to bleed out if you don’t do something about it, too. To avoid bleeding out and to extend your life a little longer, you need healing supplies like bandages. Unfortunately for you, you may not find any bandages laying around any old place in-game. That’s why you need to know how to use makeshift bandages. If you’re going to last any time at all, you’ll have to put them to use. Luckily we’ve got the intel you need to keep going.

Tear Up Your Clothing

The original DayZ is all about having you rip up your clothes to make bandages, and Mini DayZ is riding on that train as well. If you happen to be running around the world and start bleeding after a quick scuffle, make sure you bandage yourself up quickly.

If you have no bandage, you’ll want to rip up an item and make your own. T-shirts, like the game tutorial suggests early on, are great for this. You can rip them up and dress your wound with the strips. It’s not a panacea by any means, but it’ll cure what ails you and help the bleeding to stop so you can recover.

How To Use Rags As A Bandage

To do this, tap your inventory icon on the bottom left of the screen that looks like a backpack. Pick the item you want to rip up, and then select it to bring up a menu. There should usually be one option here: “tear into rags.” When you choose this, there’s no going back. If you’re wearing an item of clothing, it will subsequently be torn up into pieces.

You need to then use the item as a bandage, so tap on the item you chose to rip up and choose to apply the item. If you’ve done it correctly, the item will act as a bandage and will bring some health back. You can’t use every single clothing item as a bandage, but this should do in a pinch, as the game demonstrates early on in the tutorial level.

This should keep you on the way to staying out of the graveyard for at least a little while in Mini DayZ, but if you still need help, consider adding protection with a gun. Here’s how you can get one, if you haven’t already figured it out.
