In Destiny 2 Xur pops up pretty much everywhere, with him no longer confined to the Tower hub world and instead exploring the various other planets, requiring players to do quite a bit more searching if they are to find him.
This week Xur has holed himself up in a little room on Titan, right by The Rig spawn point, with four pieces of Exotic gear in stock: a rocket launcher, gauntlets for Titans and Warlocks and a pretty awesome Hunter helmet called the Foetracer.
Each piece of Exotic gear maxes out at 270, with a base power level of 265 that is increased if you had a piece of Legendary gear to it. As always, picking up a piece of Exotic gear at a lower power level will scale it down (as evidenced below, thanks to my lowly 220 power Warlock) so you’re going to want to make sure your power level is as high as possible before you throw down those Legendary Shards.
Take a look at each of the pieces of Exotic gear Xur has for sale this week below:
Destiny 2 Xur gear: Foetracer
23 Legendary Shards will net you the Foetracer, which increases your mobile and resilience while also adding the “Relentless Tracker” ability. This is great for the Crucible, with it marking targeting enemies and dealing more damage to those with low health. This will be prove to be a huge advantage for PvP players.
Destiny 2 Xur gear: The Wardcliff Coil
A tasty rocket launcher for 29 Legendary Shards that fires rockets at a high velocity, with its Mad Scientist ability seeing it shooting long volleys of rockets that are nigh-on impossible to control. Lots of fun, though.
Destiny 2 Xur gear: ACD/0 Feedback Fence
For 23 Legendary Shards you can buy these Titan gauntlets, which will store explosive energy with every melee attack that will be unleashed when you’re struck by an enemy. A pretty niche ability on some underwhelming looking gauntlets, so Titans may want to hold onto their Shards
Destiny 2 Xur gear: Sunbracers
For 23 Legendary Shards Warlocks can buy the Sunbracers, gauntlets that use their Helium Spirals ability to increase the duration of their Solar Grenades and gain grenade energy on melee hits. Again, not a particularly useful skill compared to other bonuses granted by Exotic gear, so those Legendary Shards are probably best spent elsewhere.
