The Evil Within 2 Open B-34 Door

The Evil Within 2 Union Security Card: Using it for the B-34 Door Code

The Union Security Card is a key item in The Evil Within 2 that will let you generate the door codes to access certain secure areas. It unlocks more than one door in the game, but the first code (and the one likely to get you stuck) you need is for door B-34 in the auto repair shop underground.

Below we’ll show you the location of the Union Security Card, and how to use it to generate door codes.

The Evil Within 2 Map Auto Shop

To get the card, you’ll need to go to Union Auto Repair, which is in the north part of the map. The best time to do this is when you’re working on the Rogue Signal side mission, as this is one of the destinations you’ll have to visit in that quest.

Once you make it inside the repair shop, you can get the Residual Memory in the back office. Nearby will be a fuse box you’ll need to use to restore power to the area.

The Evil Within 2 Auto Garage Power Switch Puzzle Solution

This isn’t much of a puzzle; you just need to fill the row of lights by flipping switches. Each switch activates a set amount of lights, and you have to turn on exactly the number of bulbs that are on the panel. If you go over, the whole thing resets.

Solution: Flip switch 2 to light six bulbs, and then hit switch 4 to illuminate the remaining four.

Hang out for a second after completing the puzzle because there’s a Hysteric that will walk into the central part of the garage once the power comes on. Your best bet is to perform a sneak attack on her then a few quick shotgun blasts to put her down.

Once the Hysteric has calmed down, use the panel near the car to raise the hydraulic lift. This will reveal the hatch to the underground passageway.

Once underground, follow the passage to get another Residual Memory and crouch down and pass under the steel beam. There is a corpse of a Mobius soldier in the next corridor near a fence with a bunch of angry Lost. You can pick up the Union Security Card off this dead body (watch out for a Lost right after you do).

The Evil Within 2: How to Use the Union Security Card to Get the B-34 Door Code

The Evil Within 2 Door B-34 Keypad

Right next to where you find the card is a door with “B-34” stenciled on it. If you look at the Union Security Card, you’ll notice that there isn’t a magnetic strip or any traditional method of unlocking available. Instead, it has a grid of numbers printed on it. It’s this grid that will allow you to figure out the passcode for door B-34.

Take a look at the keypad beside the door, and you can enter a code. Your card will also pop up beside the pad so you can figure out the keycode. Since this is door B-34, you need to look in column B and combine the numbers from rows 3 and 4. Row B-3 gives you 96, and row B-4 gives you 76. Put these together and enter “9676” into the keypad to unlock the door.

You can use the same method used here to figure out other keycode locked doors throughout the game.
