Some of the optional citizens in Ni no Kuni 2 request items from you like the Grass-Green Thread that aren’t readily available at your nearest shop. Instead, you’ve sort of got to guess at where to find them. In Ni no Kuni 2, Grass-Green Thread is needed to recruit Pi Chi in Goldpaw for the Skillful Seamstress quest. Unfortunately, at the time you first meet her, it’s unlikely that you’ve encountered Grass-Green Thread yet. There are three ways to get this item in the game though, and we’ll walk you through how to find Grass-Green Thread in Ni no Kuni 2 below.
Where to Find Grass Green Thread in Ni no Kuni 2: Visit Swift Solutions
Swift Solutions will first unlock during Chapter 4 of the game. It’s a service where you can complete small tasks for the citizens of Ni no Kuni 2 to earn Tokens of Gratitude. The first place you’ll meet the Tokenmaster who runs Swift Solutions is Goldpaw, but you’ll also find him in each large settlement thereafter.
Once you complete the quests available at Swift Solutions, you’ll receive Tokens of Gratitude. You can exchange these on hints on where to find more citizens for Evermore or for items you can’t get anywhere else. This is the easiest and quickest way to get the Grass-Green Thread for Pi Chias you can exchange 10 Tokens of Gratitude for it.
Ni no Kuni 2 Grass Green Thread Location: Rolling Hills Area
You can also find Grass-Green Thread in certain areas of the world map. It can be picked up via one of the sparkling areas indicating an item, but it can only be found in a few places. Your best chance to get the thread from a random loot location is to head to the Rolling Hills.
You can find the Rolling Hills north of Auntie Martha’s cottage and west of Cloudcoil Canyon. If you zoom in on the world map, you can find it clearly labeled. Unfortunately, this is the most random and time-consuming way to get the thread. You’ll find it randomly on the ground and dropped from enemies in the area, but there’s no sure guarantee that you’ll find it quickly.
How to Get Grass Green Thread in Ni no Kuni 2: Min-Ti Sharpshooter Side Quest
You’ll run into Min-Ti during the main storyline, and she’ll give you a side quest called Sharpshooter. It’s not too hard to do, and the reward is five Grass-Green Thread spools. All you have to do then is wait until Pi Chi’s quest is available and hand over the thread as soon as it’s assigned.
