FortniteAndroid.App is a Fake For Players Who Want Fortnite Android

FortniteAndroid.App has become a popular destination for aspiring Fortnite Android players, with those who can’t wait to get the game on their non-iOS devices desperately searching for a workaround. However, while many may be going to the site, it turns out that it isn’t really useful at all. In fact, without an official affiliation with Epic Games, it seems that this is a fake site that is falsely advertising Fortnite‘s appearance on Android.

FortniteAndroid.App: Is it a Scam?

The first red flag is the fact that Epic Games hasn’t given out a Fortnite Android release date, yet FortniteAndroid.App is advertising its release right now. It also doesn’t help FortniteAndroid.App’s case that the mobile and desktop version of the sites both offer different information, with the desktop version claiming that the game is “available for 2 week only” (typo and all) between “17 May – 12 May.” It seems that the developers of this game are traveling through time as they’re working, as FortniteAndroid.App has listed the game’s supposed release window in reverse order. Meanwhile, the mobile version of the site claims that Fortnite Android is available “From Now – 9 Jul.” Yeah, we’re not quite buying what they’re selling, unfortunately.

On top of this, the bottom of the mobile site reads: “Acknowledgement that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.” It seems that FortniteAndroid.App’s creators have got their companies mixed up, as Fortnite was developed by Epic Games and despite its popularity with the Facebook crowd, the social media site isn’t responsible for the battle royale game.

With Fortnite being so popular, it’s no surprise that shady sites are looking to piggy-back off its success. Since its popularity exploded this year, we’ve seen various sites claim to offer free V-Bucks, with the vast majority of them being fake. Hopefully Epic releases its battle royale game on Android soon, so fake sites such as this one cease to exist.
