Fancied a hit of the ol’ Fortnite Slurp Juice but discovered it was nowhere to be found? Don’t worry, you’re not the only one. Despite the furore surrounding the highly-anticipated Fortnite birthday event, a few problems slipped through the cracks. The health potion has been removed from the game for the time being, and there’s a very good reason behind that.
What is Fortnite Slurp Juice?
Essentially a pretty powerful health potion, Fortnite Slurp Juice (an Epic rarity item), previously gave users who drank it up to 25 health points and 25 shield points, one per every second after it was used, for a total of 25 seconds.
However, the recent 5.1 update changed things up, with players now being able to gain 2 health (and 0 shield bonus) every second up to 75 health. If your health is full, you’ll gain 2 shield every second up to 75 shield.
Why Was Fortnite Slurp Juice Removed?
A game-breaking bug was discovered by Fortnite Insider. As you can see from the video below, interrupting the Fortnite Slurp Juice drinking animation at the last possible moment would instigate a glitch in which you’d be given infinite healing. As you can imagine, Epic moved quickly to pull that from the game sharpish. After all, it would seriously unbalance the game and make players practically invincible from the slow sapping effects of the storm.
When Will Fortnite Slurp Juice Return?
As of right now, the return date for Fortnite Slurp Juice is undetermined. Epic has taken to Twitter to only announce the removal of the healing item, but no expected release date for it return.
Due to an issue discovered with Slurp Juice, we’ve temporarily disabled it as we investigate the cause and work towards a fix.

All being well, a hotfix should arrive by next Tuesday, July 31 (along with the rest of the Fortnite weekly updates) to fix the Slurp Juice issue once and for all. If not, it may be removed indefinitely until a solution is found.
