Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time (August 14): What Time Does the Game Reset This Week?

Another week has passed, meaning the Destiny 2 weekly reset time for August 14 is upon us! Whether it’s EST, PST, or BST, we’ve got you covered with exactly when all those challenges and merchants reset. Soon you’ll be able to get your hands on a fresh assortment of products, before heading off to knock out those weekly challenges. It’s the Destiny way of doing things after all, so prepare for another go at quickly running through the new objectives, collecting your week’s worth of loot, and then resting until next Tuesday rolls around.

When is the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time (August 14)?

As you’ll no doubt be used to by now, the Destiny 2 weekly reset time occurs every Tuesday. However, it recently changed to a different time, making it easier for US players to be awake and ready. (Presumably this also meant that the developers were up and at it, available to handle any potential issues!) The exact times are as follows: August 7 at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. BST.

If you’re in the west, you’ll likely be happy with these reset times. For those on the other side of the world, they probably come as a bit of disappointment!

Will the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time Require Me to Reboot the Game?

Happily, the Destiny 2 weekly reset time will not require you to reboot the game. In fact, if you’re already exploring the Tower, then you’ll be able to see the refresh happen live! Take a look at shop inventory, watch as the reset ticks over, and you’ll spot the entire selection be rotated out! Pretty fantastic stuff!

If you’re in a Crucible match or on a planet enjoying some PvE activities, do be wary of potential downtime during the reset. You could be kicked out of your session, so we’d advise holding off on any important missions until the reset has occurred.

A week of Solstice of Heroes doesn’t mean anything is changing with the boots-on-the-ground Destiny 2 reset. The new event may have taken up most of your free time (and, whisper it, waking hours), but it hasn’t affected the Destiny 2 weekly reset time for August 7. But let’s face it, it’s always good to have a quick reminder and, for those of you who have just dipped back into the game after a long absence, you’re going to want to know what’s up, too. So, let’s have at it, no matter where you are in the world. EST, BST, PST, it’s all covered!

When is the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Time (August 7)?

As in the case every single week, the Destiny 2 weekly reset will take place today, August 7 at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. BST. Unlike last week where the Solstice of Heroes event necessitated an early update rollout, this weekly reset is going to hit exactly on the hour.

That means Nightfall Strikes, Raids, and certain other challenges will be renewed for you to start afresh this week. Crucially, Xur is also going to be AWOL for the next 72 hours. Tuesdays are when he packs up and goes home, so don’t expect to see him on Nessus after the weekly reset time has counted down to zero.

Will the Destiny 2 Weekly Reset Remove Me From a Game?

While servers don’t go down during the Destiny 2 weekly reset (or at least, they shouldn’t), that doesn’t mean you’re always safe from being booted. Last week, players were booted just after the hour were they still involved in an activity; this week should be different with the fact that there isn’t an event to prep for. The Crucible and PvE activities should all be fair game during the weekly reset, but you should be wary of any potential downtime in the moments leading up to and following 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. BST.
