Monster Hunter World Ancient Forest

Monster Hunter World Head to the New Campsite

One of the first tasks you’ll receive in Monster Hunter World is to head to the new campsite. You may be thinking, “Hey, I’ve got a map, no big deal.” Well, that’s where you’re wrong. The map is useful, but often times you’ll need to discover (or track) monsters, locations, and objects before they’re marked. To head to the new campsite in Monster Hunter World, you’re going to have to get out there and look for yourself.

How to Find the New Campsite in Monster Hunter World

When you start the Head to the New Campsite task, you won’t have much of a clue on where you really need to go. You’re kinda just plopped out into the Ancient Forest with no direction.

The biggest hint on where to go lies in your map. The map in Monster Hunter World can be a bit confusing at first since it’s got a lot more going on with it than most games. Each region (in this case the Ancient Forest) is divided up into multiple sections. This allows you to more easily memorize locations.

Monster Hunter World Head to the New Campsite Map

To head to the new campsite in Monster Hunter World, you’ll want to open your map and look for section 11 of the Ancient Forest. You should see a dot near the northern part of the section that when highlighted reads, “Field Team Leader.” This guy hangs out near the campsite, so finding him means finding your objective. Do yourself a favor and set him as a waypoint. That way your fireflies will lead you in the right direction.

When you reach the Field Team Leader, you’ll need to look for some vines nearby. Climbing those will take you to the new campsite location. Upon arrival, you’ll complete the objective and get a chance to meet the Kulu-Ya-Ku, your next mark.
