Yakuza Kiwami 2 Repair Weapons: How to Fix Broken Weapons

Figuring out how to repair weapons in Yakuza Kiwami 2 is essential because the game places so much more focus on them than the previous title. Unlike Yakuza 6, Yakuza Kiwami 2 lets you equip up to three weapons, which can be a powerful asset for Kiryu.

Unfortunately, these weapons break after a certain number of uses, and until you fix them, you won’t be able to use them again. Below we’ll show you how you mend your broken weapons in Yakuza Kiwami 2 so you can get back in the action fast.

How to Repair Weapons in Yakuza Kiwami 2

Fixing a broken weapon in Yakuza Kiwami 2 is pretty straightforward, but the way to do it isn’t really pointed out for you during the game. You’ll run across a ton of swords, guns, knives, and other arms during your playthrough, but almost all of them are useless after a specific number of uses.

Fortunately, there is a way to fix these, though you’ll have to wait until you’ve played the game for a bit to do so. Once you’re in chapter 5, you can unlock the method to repair weapons as soon as you gain control.

To access the merchant who can repair weapons you need to complete Substory 24: The Pervy Peddler. To start the quest, you need to head to Tenkaichi Alley and head north into the small n-shaped passage. To see exactly where you need to go, you can take a look at the map above. Unlocking the Substory Finder ability for Kiryu will also highlight the right area.

Inside you’ll find the pervy peddler, Kamiyama, being accosted by a group of Yakuza. Take them out, and he’ll allow you to purchase goods from him, and he’ll repair your weapons, at cost of course. Kamiyama Works is the only place you can fix weapons in Yakuza Kiwami 2, so make sure to remember where it is.
