Spider-Man PS4 Fast Travel: How to Unlock Fast Travel

Spider-Man on PS4 is out tomorrow, and you’ll soon be able to swing all over New York in this excellent game. Of course like any huge open-world title, there’s a Fast Travel system to allow you to quickly return to any area you’ve completed. But how do you unlock Fast Travel in Spider-Man? Is there any special way to use it? We’re here to help, so here’s everything you need to know about Spider-Man PS4 Fast Travel.

How To Unlock Fast Travel in Spider-Man PS4

The most important thing you need to realize is that Fast Travel is not available immediately at the start of Spider-Man. Fortunately it doesn’t require anything special to unlock on behalf of the player. Simply play through the story and eventually Fast Travel will be available to you. The game will make it clear when that happens.

How To Use Fast Travel in Spider-Man PS4

Once Fast Travel is unlocked, simply click the touchpad to open up the map, and then choose where you want to go. You can only travel to completed locations, or special areas such as Peter Parker’s house, F.E.A.S.T. building or a police station. As you complete locations you unlock more Fast Travel points as you progress through the game, such as research stations. Other points are unlocked as Spider-Man activates the various Surveillance Towers to uncover more of the map.

Alternatively, if you don’t want to break immersion but still want to get around quickly, the city’s subway stations are fully functional and available. Simply find one on the map, head down the steps of the subway station, and the map will open up. Then just pick your subway destination and go! All of which is a lot less fun then swinging through the streets of New York City, but when citizens are in peril sometimes speed is of the essence.
