Destiny 2 Reset Raid Checkpoint: How to Restart Last Wish Progress

For those participating in The Last Wish raid in Destiny 2 Forsaken, there may be a point where you need to reset it. It’s a difficult raid and there’s plenty of secrets that can be missed along the way. Restarting the Last Wish raid isn’t the most intuitive process, though. In fact, it can seem impossible. Read on below to see what you need to do to reset the raid in Destiny 2 Last Wish.

How to Restart Raid in Destiny 2: How to Reset Last Wish

Unfortunately, there’s no way to reset Last Wish easily. Unlike in the original Destiny, there’s no way to restart your raid progress from orbit. This means that you’ll keep the same checkpoint you’ve reached in Last Wish even if you leave and come back. This is a double-edged sword. You don’t have to repeat the same material you’ve already beaten, but it’s a bummer if you’re trying to farm items or find secrets.

There may be a way to work around this, though. I haven’t tried it personally, but you may be able to at least return to an earlier part in the raid (if not the beginning) by joining a fireteam. You’ll then start at their checkpoint when they start the raid.

Whether this is an oversight on Bungie’s part, or something purposeful isn’t known. Since resetting the raid is a function that was available in the original Destiny, it’s possible that ability will be added to the game at some point in the future. However, for now, the only way to restart Last Wish in Destiny 2 is to try and join a fireteam that hasn’t participated in the raid before.

Seeing as the raid can take a long time to complete, you’ll want to make sure that you absolutely want to start over. You wouldn’t want to lose hours of progress accidentally.
