Digital Extremes’ popular free-to-play shooter Warframe continues to get impressive new patches, most of which offering much more than the usual bug-fixes and basic changes. The latest update for Warframe is now live, version 23.9.0, and it adds a brand new warrior to play with. There’s also a new hotfix too, 23.9.0.1. Warframe Update 23.9.0 Patch Notes: New Chroma Prime Warframe
Update 23 for Warframe introduces an impressively shiny new hero, the warrior Chroma Prime. This new Warframe comes with the powerful Rubico Prime sniper rifle, and the rather large two-handed Gram Prime sword. These replace all exclusive Limbo Prime, Destreza Prime, and Pyrana Prime Relic locations in Warframe, including Plains Bounties, Sanctuary Onslaught, and Elite Sanctuary Onslaught (Radiant). They also can drop in a number of Endless mission modes.
Additionally, Valkyr Prime, Venka Prime, and Cernos Prime have all entered the Vault. Consequently several Syndicate sacrifices have been shifted. Arbiters of Hexis sacrifice of Cernos Prime Lower Limb goes to Sybaris Prime Barrel, Perrin Sequence sacrifice of Venka Prime Gauntlet goes to Nami Skyla Prime Blade, and Perrin Sequence sacrifice of Valkyr Prime Neuroptics goes to Hydroid Prime Neuroptics. Additionally Rhino Prime, Nyx Prime, Boltor Prime, Hikou Prime, Ankyros Prime, and Scindo Prime Relics have all re-entered the Vault.
There are only a few fixes and changes. Most notably, Titania’s Razorwing no longer has any collision damage, so you can bounce off as many walls as you’d like. There’s some small optimizations to the HUD and Infested Salvage codes. Fixes include no longer being able to be one-shotted through Revenant’s Mesmer Skin, Nyx’s Chaos Sphere Augment now grabs every enemy in its radius, and Archwing cannot be deployed in the Simulacrum.
Warframe Hotfix Update Patch Notes for 23.9.0.1
The 23.9.0.1 hotfix, on the other hand, only has a few fixes and changes, as all the important ones arrived in the main part of update 23. The biggest reason for this hotfix is to stop Plague Star Bounty rewarding incorrect Relics. We don’t know if this is a new error caused by 23.9.0 which Digital Extremes is just quickly sorting, or whether it’s been around for a while and they’re only just getting to it.
